Well! This is to the pupils. Try to do this exam under test conditions, taking into account time and self-reliance.

PostSubject: Some comments   Breakfast sets you up for the day Exam paper12/07 EmptySun Feb 01, 2009 1:40 am

Salam!

I would like to write some comments after reading the exam sample.

First, I assume that this exam is meant for MS4.Level

Section I / Act.II

Breakfast helps keeping good health.

It would be:

Breakfast helps keep/to keep good health.

Help doing sth. has quite different meaning.

He can’t help doing sth. .means : He can’t prevent or avoid doing sth.

Section II

Act.2

I don’t understand why the instruction has been formulated so:

Complete the table with the appropriate noun, verb, adj, or adverb.

It would be misleading not to ‘weak’ pps but rather to the excellent ones.

Act 3

Find in the text words with the following sounds

I think it’s misleading too. It would be preferable to limit the number. I’m assuming that the pps work with no presence of the teacher as it is the case with the official exam.

What I really appreciated:

The text, not long, meaningful and conveying a valuable message to the pps in addition to the scientific information it consists of.

Grammar

Supplying the pps with could, can….is really helpful making the pps go right to the target.

Supplying the pps with the web site link ….It’s really wonderful!!!

Wish I haven’t disturbed.

Salam!

PostSubject: keeps or keeping!!   Breakfast sets you up for the day Exam paper12/07 EmptyTue Feb 03, 2009 8:51 pm

Well! The text is authentic and original, only a slight adaptation has been made.. Well, I think keeping or helps to keep are the mostly used in to convey the salme meaning.
