Salam!!
Jasakum Allah kyairan for raising this issue! Yes, I really share all that you've said. EDUCATION!
Teaching and Educating are two faces of the same coin. I can't imagine a teacher wholy concerned by the lesson, without praparing the 'receiver' of the lesson.
To keep something safe, one should ensure that the 'container' or the destination is parasit-free.
Our children are victims of the carelessness of parents and teachers alike.
Much should be said in this respect. On my part I oriented my pupils to consult www.go4english.com
It's a good idea to make a compaign in order not to limit our advice to our own classes only.
Something as important as the one you've raised is the mobile phone that 99% of our pupils use without the parents' control. Some parents even don't know that their 'daughters' have mobile phones...
But one shouldn't lose hope. We have to take our pupils in charge and talk to them as we do with our children. It's an every day process; pupils even confess that this helps them know good from evil.
One may say that we have no time to do that and I'll openly and strongly reply that this is Education. Since we are doomed to be educators, whether it's our choice or not, we have to 'tackle' it honestly.
Many thanks for the links.
Salam!
