PostSubject: Songs as sung by pupils...   Songs as sung by pupils... EmptySat May 23, 2009 8:41 pm

Salam!

As teachers do like to have 'words' along with their corresponding tune, I've just tried to record the pps on my mobile to be able to send the tune to the forum.
You can well make it better.

This is the song Bismillah with the 'words' improved by Mr.Mohamed. I tried it with the MS1 pps. They liked it so much.
The song with the tune, just download.

http://www.mediafire.com/?dzlj2mmjixn

Bismillah (In the name of Allah)

[/center]

In the name of Allah, ‘Bismillah’

I start my day, ‘Bismillah’

Everyday I say ‘Bismillah’

No one but Allah helps me in the way

I always work, ‘Bismillah’
I always pray ‘Bismillah’
I eat, drink and play ‘Bismillah’
I end my day ‘Bismillah’

I never lie to anyone
I never gossip on anyone
I never insult anyone
This is the way I do everyday.

Wherever I go, ‘Bismillah’

Whatever I do, ‘Bismillah’

Whoever I see, ‘Bismillah’

This is the way I live, ‘Bismillah’

How many gods?
No god but Allah
Who is Muhammad?
Messenger of Allah
What’s the Quran?
The Book of Allah
La Ilaha illa Allah.

Whom do you love?
I love Allah
Whom do you worship?
I worship Allah
Whom do you fear?
I fear Allah
La Ilaha illa Allah

Wish you 'll find it interesting.
Salam!

PostSubject: Wow! So competent!   Songs as sung by pupils... EmptySun May 24, 2009 1:41 pm

Thank you so much for the masterpiece. This work is great for it is an evidence that your pupils have acquired many competences. I think you've reached many objectives.

Your pupils have proven:

- Good pronunciation.
- performing a song.
- good mastery of language.
- self- confidence.
- love of the subject.
- Expressing values in English.

Congratulate your kids.

The only thing that I personally didn't like is that you deprived the hearer from appreciating the pupils' joy and excitement at the end of the song. You recorded everything and this was good enough but you didn't record the puipls' shouts and symbols of joy.

To conclude, I must say that this is the job our pupils need: using language in real life situation. Be sure your pupils will keep on singing this song for a long time and some of them will never forget it.

Thanks and keep on creating good things.

Salam!

So thankful for the valuable remarks!

I'll take into consideration your advice; I just want to say that I did everything in a hurry...I had planned nothing but wanting to send the tune to the forum.

Didn't realise the importance of the pps's spontaniety, that's why I stopped recording immediately after performing the song.

Will send other songs, but something worth saying is that I didn't correct a mistake I did in the song 'My flag'....the very mistake I sent to the forum about articles before colours as nouns. (Green is...... instead of The green is ...... etc- as a result of the interference of French.)

Endless thanks for your encouragement!

Salam!
