PostSubject: Middle School Books after the Slimming Down.   Tue Apr 07, 2009 12:06 am

All the teachers agree that the Middle School Books are not of great help to pupils and teachers. They are full of mistakes of all kinds. The content is fluffy and not functional at all. It doesn't serve 30% of the expectations. So what are we going to do with this book if it isn't substituted soon?
The slimming down adopted this year has evidently prooved that it will be sinful to oblige the pupils to purchase this book and not use it.

Why not boycot this book and print something more profitable for the pupils?
Why not address a notification to the inspectors?
Why not contact the officials?

It is a duty and we have to do something.

Best of luck.

PostSubject: Things to come...   Mon Apr 13, 2009 11:49 pm

Salam!

Effectively, our text books become more and more disturbing, especially while asking the pps to correct the countless mistakes that the books contain.
Sometimes I feel really shame to ask the pps time and again to correct. Spelling mitakes, interference mistakes, punctuation...atc.
Pay attention to the word 'archaeologist' which is rather written 'archeologist'....Pay attention to the way Script One of File Five is started....an interview which has no logical beginning!
In the same file, an activity dealing with interviews, too, has also the same problem!
And many other mistakes, which one finds oneself fed up with mentioning, since 'the mistake' in text books is becoming almost a current thing!
we are teaching our pps accuracy and appropriacy, which are not respected by those who are supposed to ...

We've been told in a seminar held last week, that things are coming...I don't claim that I read the documents...you may undestand things better than I can do after going through the following documents.

Here are the links.

Wish things will be better one day!

Thanks for your attention!

Salam!
