Some mistakes are due to lack of consideration of the level of the learners or to bad appreciation of the facts.
Look at page 85 Sequence 1 File 4 activity c) : the question is :
Who has chosen this font? The Edwardian Script IT
Why?
Do our pupils realize the meaning of some of these symbols?
Focus on the shape of the letter Q in El Qala.
It is really stupid and ambiguous and more errata will follow.
It is really confusing and misleading for young learners to be face to face with models containing mistakes.
For a young learner, a book is a 'BOOK' nothing to say about it. But our duty is not only to teach but to make them aware that books may contain some errata, better ask them to take part in the correction using an eraser and a red pen.
Look at page 87 File 4 sequence 2 activity c)
They sleep four hours. The correct one is: They sleep for four (it is more advisable to write ''4'') hours.
The most important item for' is missing.
The same erratum is repeated in script b) page 95.
It is always good to correct mistakes to help our pupils, isn't it? And more errata will follow.
