Very interesting and thorny toppic in fact...
I'm going to do nothing but confirm all that you wrote about in (Prof. Dev.& Teachers & the Internet)
The responsibility is shared by all.
Some teachers don't try to improve, and instead, they stick to old fashioned ways of teaching.
Some others (there are too many)...say that they have no time, and since the problem is almost created on purpose, they are not responsible for what results in.
Now, concerning the equipments that neither the teachers nor the students can take profit from,...it's a reality which can be changed if and only if the teachers want really to make use of them.
It's a question of time management, how coordination is held and led, how subjects are organised vis-à-vis students and teachers...
It's not that easy to change all things at a time; no, I'm not trying to find out pretexts to this shameful weakness, but I want rather to say that things should be done step by step and 'Step by step one goes far'.
English Clubs? Something interesting but What & How?
Since you've raised this topic, I suggest to create a corner for our pupils' creativity. Something that motivate teachers and pupils alike.
I want to say here that the pupils' talents should be developed, because there are many many pupils who are really able to do miracles but unfortunately they are not encouraged to do so.
A Talent Show, for example, is an instance of pps positive performance.
I'll send some of the pps' writings later, which really unfold this.
Why not unifying work? Let's suggest and agree about some activities? It will be a short-cut to a palpable improvement.
Wish to start soon!
Thanks a million for all the important issues you raise!
Salam!
