Syllabus Slimming-Down

The ministry of Education has recently slimmed down the syllabus for all class levels. The same things took place years ago with the Basic regim. The syllabus was too long to finish, too many items to teach, to many things to alter and it was an ill win that blows no good, a big burden on the teacher's neck! The same problem repeats itself after decades of suffering and strife! Isn't it high time to put and end to this fiasco. We as teachers, are the first concerned element to go deeply through the text books contents and decide about the length of the syllabus. Before all mass printing is made teachers should to be informed about the books, teachers work books (no existence at all), drawings to be included, and any cultural or religious abuse included within the book have to be controlled. We wish to discuss all these matters here, and decide how to solve them.

Spark Notes On Spot Lighted books!

The set text book has been the main boiling point of many teachers! Too long, many items to teach, cultural or religious abuses, gradation problems,... and so many things that needs forensic analyses. Let's debate it here, right?

Grammar Through Educational Songs

Explicit grammar is of a great endeavor to the child! Shoal of bordom is noticed, ambiguity, misunderstading, retention problems, etc... But when a child hears the song; a well selected song! Not as the one on page ? of 4 year book!!!! The new vocabulary is quickly retained and recalled, the stryctural concept is well understood and the child might have a time of relaxation and a ground to play! Try my prescription and answer me, don't answer me back!!!
