Sometimes words assault the mind when one feels unable to do what one feels like to do...
Fortunately, the pen is a means of 'transfering one's energy' into black lines expressing 'light' or 'dark' ideas...
This is a very simple poem, easy to learn and teach, fitting 4MS pupils especially, and which can be taught to the other levels.
Wish it will help you to some extent...
I Swear to Free my Land!
I used to walk and see
Work as well as a bee
I used to draw, to write
Before I lost my sight.
I used to jump and run
With my friends to have fun
I used to dream, I can
Never now see the sun.
I used to greet the sky
To greet birds as they fly
To help them when they cry
All left I don’t know why!
Now my heart is my sight
I can do what They can’t
I can say ‘NO’ and fight
Those who turned out my light.
With no feet I can stand
I can build with no hand
With Brother, with my Friend
I swear to free my Land!
