PostSubject: Teaching vocabulary and spelling through anagrams. Printable worksheets.   Mon Nov 16, 2009 12:14 am

One way of teaching vocabulary and spelling is the use of anagrams.

An anagram is a word that is made by rearranging the letters of another word.

For example, ram is an anagram of arm. The same letters make up the two words.

To enhance learning and make it more lively and motivating, I suggest the use of ready- to-use worksheets, where the learner is supposed to write a sport/food/ means of transportation/ animal….anagram for each written word. A picture is provided for each anagram as a clue, so as to help the learner find the meant word.

They also stand as visual aids making teaching easier and more efficient.

You can copy them through this link:

Wish you’ll find them useful!

Salam!
